Categories: Vegetarian
Yield: 1 Servings

1 1/2cWhole wheat flour
1cWhite flour
1/2cSugar
1/3cChopped nuts
1/3cCarob chips or chopped
  Dried
  Fruit
3/4tsSalt
1cWater
1/3cHydrogen peroxide*
1/3cOil
2tsVanilla

Mix dry ingredients. Next mix wet ingredients. Move quick as peroxide loses its strength after much delay. Quickly combine all ingredients. Place in oiled 8x8" pan. Bake at 350F. for 45 minutes. Remove from pan to cool. Frost.

Variations: use 1 1/2 teaspoon orange, lemon, or maple flavor instead of vanilla. Replace 1/4 cup whole wheat flour with 1/4 cup carob powder

NOTE: Hydrogen peroxide should not be taken internally without first cooking. It is generally felt to be safe when exposed to heat for several minutes. It is made of oxygen and hydrogenand is very unstable. The initial bubbling acts as a leavining but quickly but quickly breaks down when exposed to air.
